Who we are :

County Line Logistics are Business Associates as defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). We provide secure, HIPAA-compliant medical courier and logistics services on behalf of healthcare providers (Covered Entities), such as hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories, and medical offices.

We do not create or manage medical records. We receive limited health information only as required to perform our delivery services on behalf of these Covered Entities.

How we use and Disclose PHI:

We may receive or handle PHI for the following purposes:
– Logistics Support: To transport medical specimens, prescriptions, patient records, or durable medical equipment.
– Healthcare Operations: As instructed by the Covered Entity for services such as audits or logistics tracking.
– Business Operations: For internal operations such as billing or compliance audits—only when necessary and allowed by contract.

We do not use PHI for marketing, sales, or unrelated commercial purposes. We do not maintain your medical records, nor do we make decisions regarding your healthcare.

Your Rights:

As a patient, you have rights under HIPAA, including:
– The right to access and receive copies of your medical records (from your healthcare provider—not from us).
– The right to request corrections to your PHI (through your healthcare provider).
– The right to file a complaint if you believe your privacy rights have been violated.

You should direct all such requests and concerns to your healthcare provider.

Our Legal Duties:

As Business Associates, we are required by law to:
– Protect the privacy and security of PHI we receive from Covered Entities.
– Use or disclose PHI only as permitted or required by our contracts and by law.
– Follow the terms of this Notice and notify Covered Entities in the event of a breach of unsecured PHI.
